Ballance's sign

Ballance's sign is dullness to percussion in the left flank LUQ and resonance to percussion in the right flank seen with splenic rupture/hematoma. [Surgical Recall, 4th edition, Blackbourne, Lorne H.]

It is named for Charles Alfred Ballance. [WhoNamedIt|synd|608]
