Peyton Hillis (born January 21, 1986 in city-state|Conway|Arkansas) is an American football fullback for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Broncos in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He played college football at Arkansas.

Early years

Hillis played for Conway High School in Conway, Arkansas. As a senior in 2003, he rushed for 2,631 yards and 29 touchdowns on 261 carries for an average of 10.1 yards per carry. Hillis earned numerous high school football honors in the state of Arkansas including the "Arkansas Democrat-Gazette" Offensive Player of the Year as a senior and the Landers Award, which recognizes the top high school football player in Arkansas.

College career

Hillis was considered to be one of the most versatile players on the Arkansas Razorbacks roster. Hillis has been utilized as a fullback, halfback, tailback, tight end, wide receiver, kick returner and punt returner at some point in his collegiate career. He generated 960 rushing yards, 1197 receiving yards, and 23 total touchdowns in his four year career at Arkansas.
