The village is located on the
Lesser Caucasus mountains, more precisely, in the north part of the Lachin district and the west side ofHakari River (almost in the source) 330 km fromBaku , the capital of Azerbaijan Republic.History
The name of the village is related to the name of the tribe, Sheylanli, who had lived in the area until the Nagorno-Karabakh War. After establishment of the
