BACKROUND
Founder and CEO of Eyeworks, Reinout Oerlemans (1971) was a leading actor in the first primetime Dutch soap opera “Goede tijden, slechte tijden (Good Times, Bad Times”). After its premiere in 1990, the show became a huge phenomenon in the Netherlands.Six years later, Reinout left “GTST” and started a career as a television host. He presented “Wedden dat? (Wanna bet),“ a national version of the well known German format “Wetten das?” In 2003 and 2004 he hosted the first two seasons of “Idols,” the Dutch version of the hit series “American Idol.” The finale of “Idols” first series is still one of the “Top 3 most watched entertainment shows” in the Netherlands. In addition to “Idols,” Reinout hosted “The 10,” a very successful Eyeworks entertainment program that still remains one of the best scoring shows in Germany, as well as his own talk show, “Pulse.” In 2004, Reinout won the “Zilveren Televizierster,” a national prize for the male personality of the year.

Presently, Reinout resides as the CEO of Eyeworks, the production company he founded in 2001. Eyeworks is an independent creative, and all round television production company that develops, produces and distributes television programs internationally in different genres including sports, fiction and entertainment. Since its inception, Eyeworks has rapidly become one of the leading television producers in the Netherlands and is the third largest independent production company in the world. In 2002 the company was named “Media Company of the Year” in the Netherlands.
