Serie A , after that he moved toFiorentina where he could not find his place, he then joined the Belgian second division club Mons, but due to his injury troubles he returned to Egypt toIsmaily inJuly 2007 .On March 2002 Caf and Fifa banned Hani for 6 months after testing positive for drugs in
2002 African Nations Cup which was held inMali , he returned toEgypt national football team in 2004 but he didn't participate in the winning team of 2006, howeverHassan Shehata the coach of Egypt has recalled him in the preliminary squad forACN 2008 which won the cup too.The Rise to Fame
He was not the most popular player in the national team due to his former performances with the national team, but the ACN 2008 in Ghana transformed him into a household name after a string of faultless performances and guiding the Egyptian backline.
