Arts Midwest

Arts Midwest, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is one of six not-for-profit regional arts organizations funded by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). Formed in 1985 through the merger of the Affiliated State Arts Agencies of the Upper Midwest (based in Minneapolis) and the Great Lakes Arts Alliance (based in Cleveland), Arts Midwest works to, “enable individuals and families throughout America’s heartland to share in and to enjoy the arts and cultures of our region and the world” [ [http://www.usregionalarts.org/docs/research/SAF-Survey%20RepoNAL%20VERSION.pdf|A Survey and Analysis of Regional Traditional Arts Programs and Services] ] . The organization works in partnership with state the arts councils of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
