Kildare ["Sunday Independent", "Enjoying the psychic magic", July 14, 2002] , Hickey began his career in 1963 atDeirdre O'Connell 's Stanislavski Studio inDublin where he trained inStanislavski's 'system' of acting. Hickey went on to play the part of Benjy Riordan in the successfulsoap opera for the next 16 years.
