The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan is an ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines. Lingayen-Dagupan is the Archdiocese in the Province of Pangasinan, on the island of Luzon.
History
The Diocese of Lingayen was erected on May 19, 1928, for the whole province of Pangasinan. During the World War II, the Metropolitan See was transferred in Dagupan; consequently, adopting the name Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan. The Archiocese comprises the following diocese: Alaminos, Urdaneta, Cabanatuan, San Jose, Nueva Ecija, and San Fernando, La Union.In 1963, the diocese was elevated to an archdiocese.
