Sebastopol is a southern suburb of Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.

It is named after Sevastopol in the Ukraine, the site of an important battle during the Crimean War. The town was established as a result of gold discoveries, the Post Office opening on 5 October 1857. Citation

It is the site of numerous light-industrial businesses and housing ranging in density and cost. It is served by a primary and a secondary school, several kindergartens, a post office and library, and several small shopping precincts including three supermarkets.
