Alfred Harvey

Alfred Harvey (1913-1994) is the founder of comic book publisher Harvey Comics and the creator of comic book characters Little Dot, Richie Rich, and Adam Awards.

Alfred Harvey's company, Harvey World Famous Comics, produced comic books and cartoons featuring Wendy the Good Little Witch, Spooky the Tuff Little Ghost, Baby Huey, Little Audrey and Little Dot. It also published "Sad Sack," the military comic strip. Harvey also worked for Fox Publications with Joe Simon and Jack Kirby.

Alfred Harvey retired in 1982, and his company was sold to HMH Communications in 1989 and renamed Harvey Comics Entertainment. He died at age 80 in June 1994 at a New Rochelle Hospital.
