"Stiliferidae", are a taxonomic family of small sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the order Sorbeoconcha.

Description

Most members of this family are completely parasitic and become deeply embedded in the body of their host, which is usually a sea star or a holothurian. At the base of the long probing probosis there is a fleshy frill that forms an enclosing sac around the animal. Both the operculum and the radula are absent.
