The Chicago International Dispute Resolution Association (CIDRA) is a non-profit organization specializing in assistance with solving private international disputes.[1]
History
CIDRA was founded in 1997 by Peter Baugher, partner in the Chicago law firm Schopf & Weiss LLP, for the purpose of implementing the Illinois International Commercial Arbitration Act (ICAA). The ICAA, drafted in 1998 by CIDRA in conjunction with the International and Foreign Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association, provides a simple and clear outline of practices for arbitration accepted by the international business community. CIRDA is currently headquartered in the One South Wacker building.
