- Kulasekara Cinkaiariyan
Kulasekara Cinkaiariyan(died 1284) is considered to be the first of the
Aryacakravarti dynasty kings to establish his rule over theJaffna Kingdom in modernSri Lanka . Some native sources indicate that he was the son of Kulingai Cakravarti the legendary founder of the Jaffna Kingdom but other historians consider him to be Pandyan minister who married into th family of Kulingai Cakravarti after the end of the rule of the usurperChandrabhanu in 1262.According to a Sinhalese
primary source Mahavamsa , a warlord named Aryacakravarti invaded the Sinhalese capital ofYapahuwa on behalf of the Pandyan King,Maaravaramban Kulasekara Pandyan I between the the years 1277 to 1283. Most historians agree that it was this Arayacakravarti who stayed behind to create the Arayacakravrati dynasty although his descendants claimed origin from Kulingai Cakravarti.
