- Richard Goodell
Richard Goodell (d.
January 25 ,1826 Auburn, New York ,Cayuga County, New York ) was an American politician.He lived in Adams, New York. He served as a captain during the
War of 1812 .He was a member from Jefferson County of the
New York State Assembly in 1820-21, and from 1823 to 1825. In 1824, he was Speaker.In 1825, he was appointed Keeper of
Auburn State Prison , but died soon after. In April 1826, the State Legislature ordered the payment of the remainder of his annual salary to his widow. He was buried at a cemetery in Adams, N.Y.ources
