Richard Goodell

Richard Goodell (d. January 25, 1826 Auburn, New York, Cayuga County, New York) was an American politician.

He lived in Adams, New York. He served as a captain during the War of 1812.

He was a member from Jefferson County of the New York State Assembly in 1820-21, and from 1823 to 1825. In 1824, he was Speaker.

In 1825, he was appointed Keeper of Auburn State Prison, but died soon after. In April 1826, the State Legislature ordered the payment of the remainder of his annual salary to his widow. He was buried at a cemetery in Adams, N.Y.
