Jetliner (band)

Jetliner (band)

Jetliner are an alternative rock band from the USA. They focus on melodic piano based rock and have been compared to Queen and early Elton John, being heavily influenced by early 70s rock. Comprised of Adam Paskowitz of The Flys on piano and lead vocals, Jeff Kluesner on Guitar, 'The Duke' on the organ and Rob Jones playing drums. All members sing backing vocals. Much of their guitar work is reminiscent of Brian May

To quote Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols, "I like bands that have a concept, a bit of drama. Queen is that sortof band; they had complex songs wit a lot of parts to them. Jetliner is that kind of band too."

Jetliner have released two albums, 'Jetliner' and 'Space Station'.

Comparisons

'Little Steps', from 'Jetliner' sounds as if it could have been recorded by Elton John and 'The Reaction' from 'Space Station' is a knowing wink towards 'Tie Your Mother Down' by Queen, with the opening guitar riff being very similar. 'Space Station' contains a cover of 'Life on Mars' by David Bowie, showing yet another of the band's influences.
