Walther J. Jacobs-Stutenpreis

The Walther J. Jacobs-Stutenpreis is a Group 3 flat horse race in Germany open to thoroughbred fillies and mares which are three-years-old or above. It is run over a distance of 2,200 metres (approximately 1⅜ miles) at Bremen Racecourse, Bremen, and it takes place annually in August.

The event was promoted to Group 3 status in 2004, at which time it was run as the Grosser Stutenpreis von Bremen. It was given its present title in 2005, in memory of Walther J. Jacobs (1907–1998), a leading German racehorse breeder who founded the stud farm Gestüt Fährhof.
