hell description
The shell is rather large, solid, with a relatively broadly conical spire. The
body whorl is sharply angled at the periphery by two closely spaced cords, the upper one the stronger, the remainder of the surface, including the slightly concave base, is closely but irregularly spirally lirate. The operculum is thin, horny, circular and multispiral.The shell coloration is yellowish, reddish or purplish brown, faintly marbled or streaked in darker brown.
The shell height is up to 86 mm, and the width is up to 25 mm.
