Created and Produced by a small event production outfit Back in Black Productions, The Kaguluhan (pronounced as "kha-goo-loo-han") Music Festival is an underground Pinoy Rock / Heavy metal Music event held every November in the Provincial Region of Cavite, Philippines. Since its inception, the music festival has contributed success to its homegrown talents in and out of town, some of which have become recording artists and some have opened for international acts as well.

History

Led by its three pioneering homegrown bands Sin, Stagnant, and Starscream, the festival's purpose is to give fresh and potential bands from Cavite an opportunity to showcase their talents and skills to a whole new level of entertainment and excitement giving them a step forward in pursuing their dreams to become the next big thing in the local music scene. Serving the music festival as a training ground to enhance their performance level, original material and interaction with the crowd, together with some of the hottest local Rock and Metal bands sharing the same stage with them.

The first year was held in October 15, 2004 at the Cavite Coliseum where Rooster Cockfights are also held, unfortunately the first show was unsuccessful due to the overwhelming production's high costing and poor marketing strategy. The producers were uncertain back then whether the festival would push through once again, despite of the losses suffered.

The second year was held on November 19, 2005 at a small bar in Bacoor, Cavite at a toned down production cost. The producers eventually gained knowledge and wisdom on how the system works unlike in the previous year where they were kept on bay and at the sidelines by their incompetent production managers and crew. Uncredited bands however got the opportunity to perform, but were never headlined in the marketing campaign. After the second year concluded, the producers decided to reduce the talent line-up limiting to only ten bands to avoid overflowing which some production outfits try to do and have the young and eager bands sell their tickets but uncertain whether if they can get a good time slot to perform or not.

The third year was held on November 4, 2006 at the Imus Plaza Gymnasium in Imus, Cavite where the production concluded that their struggle since year one has finally paid off as the festival's hype incredibly increased, thanks to Sin's growing fan base and influence among the well known established acts who also joined in to participate and perform in an overwhelming turn out of followers and spectators eager to witness their rock heroes perform live and in action.

The fourth year was held on November 10, 2007 at an auditorium near a public wet market in Noveleta, Cavite where the festival debuted it's first ever Vanity Wall as spectators got the chance to take pictures of themselves behind it or with their rock idols as well. The producers also revitalized their official site page in Friendster and uploaded countless streaming videos which includes a retrospective highlight reel, video blogs and a profile video featurette featuring in-depth interviews with some band members and personalities involved, giving their personal insights and testimonials to the festival's enormous success which are viewed and posted on the web at the Youtube channel.

Currently the fifth year will be held on November 8, 2008 at the Cavite School of St. Mark in Bacoor, Cavite. This would be the first time that the music festival be held in a school and would commemorate the event's half-decade success.

Through the years, the Kaguluhan Music Festival has grown huge and bigger establishing its cult-following awareness in the local underground music scene. From booking gigs in different key cities in the region, spawning and discovering fresh new talents, to creating and selling their own merchandise (limited souvenir shirts) as well, and has, in turn earned a legion of loyal followers in and out of Cavite which finally led to earning its two articles back to back on a local music magazine. So far it has become one of the most anticipated music events in the country.
