Hi-Tech Institute Of Technology, Aurangabad (HITA) is started by a group of industrialist with the sole aim of imparting best education to the students.

The HITA is established from the academic year 2001-2002 for imparting professional training in engineering discipline to the new generation. It is an attempt by BGPS trust to prepare the new generation to meet the challenges of changing economic scenario. The anticipated growth in market due to globalization and privatization is expected to create a greater demand for engineering personnel at various levels.

The engineering program at HITA is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. The emphasis of the institute is on providing specialization in Computer Science, Information Technology and Electronics & Telecommunication. The institute provides additional training to the students as suggested by the experts from academic and professional fields.

The Institute has all the required infrastructure as prescribed and verified by the all India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi.

This college is situated in its own campus of 30 acres of land in industrial area of Aurangabad. Presently 4000 m². of construction is complete and remaining construction is in process.

Aurangabad is historic city of India World famous Ellora & Ajanta caves are very close to Aurangabad. Aurangabad is central place in Maharashtra, the fastest developing Industrial Center in India. The institute is promoted by successful and experienced industrial entrepreneurs & therefore the students have good opportunity of continuous interaction with various industries & better placements facilities.

Department of Computer Science & Engineering

This Department is equipped with the latest and fully loaded computers. All of them have been connected in LAN with the licensed software and networking. The Department also provided sufficient infrastructure for the hardware. The various laboratories in the Department are as follows:

Software Engineering Students Association "SESA" is formed in the department to conduct various activities for the students. An informal group "Electronics Engineering Students Association (EESA)" is formed for conduction of various activities such as Paper Presentation, Project Exhibition etc. HITA's final year students have developed advanced software based and innovative projects, which are best suited for industrial as well as domestic application. Department of First Year Engineering

The first of its kind, this Department is controlled and headed by a senior staff with assistance of rest of the staff members.

This Department welcomes the newly admitted students to the family of HIT, the Department is formed to help the new members of HIT family to adjust them with the new atmosphere without any difficulty.

The main aim is to import the sense of togetherness amongst the student and staff to smoothen the entry of new comers to technical education, not only for curriculum but also to develop the personality and ability to make it success.

Special Feature of this Department:

The newly admitted students are always in a stage of enthusiasm with an anxiety to do lot of things but they are confused. this Department gives the required boosting and guidelines to them.

Special effort are taken to teach and revise tough subjects by taking extra coaching from senior staff apart from regular classes.

The students are provided the best laboratory & workshop facility for practical with the guidance from the skilled staff members.

Regular class tests are conducted and reviewed. this enables periodic evolution of the progress of students and necessary steps are taken to overcome the short comings.

A teacher-Guardian scheme is implemented, in which few students are adopted by each staff member. they are guided by him for academic difficulties as well as personal problems in the campus. Library facility is provided with permission to access books for issue as well as reference in the reading room, which is kept open for extra hours in examination period. Industrial training in the industries like Bajaj Auto, Wipro, Siemens, Garware etc. is made compulsory for each student. special time slot is allotted for the same. ours is the only institute offering such facility. Each class has separate class teacher to keep keen watch on the performance of the student. A periodic review is taken and student staff coordination is maintained for betterment of student. Periodic report of the progress of the ward is communicated to the parents and "Parent Meet" is arranged in each term to have interactive session to review improvement in the teaching learning progress. First year course is common to all 3 Bachelor of Engineering Programs Structure of First Year Course.

Admissions

Every year HIT enrolls 180 fresh students in 1st year Bachelor of Engineering programs. Our admission process corresponds to the norms laid down by the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. & Government of Maharashtra.

All students entering our 1st year Bachelor of Engineering programs are required to have passed their 12th year high school examination from an institution recognized by the Government of Maharashtra's DTE ( Director of Technical Education).

Admission Procedure

Eligibility Criteria:

First Year Engineering:

Candidate passing the H.S.C. (Std. XII) or its equivalent Examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and should have secured minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together (45% Marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together for Backward Class Students from Maharashtra)

OR

Diploma Holder who have passed the Diploma course in Engineering / Technology with minimum of 50% marks.

Direct Second Year Engineering:

First Class Diploma (Polytechnic) of the M.S.B.T.E. or equivalent, in respective branch in which admission is intended.

Note:Admission criteria is governed by the A.I.C.T.E. and D.T.E. The criteria will be followed as per their directions from time to time.

Fees:

Fees will be Charged as per the rules laid down by the Maharashtra State Government from time to time. Scholarship will be offered to the eligible candidate as per Governments rules.

Training & Placement Cell

Though the college is established in the year 2001 and the first batch will come out in June 2005, college is taking maximum efforts for providing the students training of current industry needs and placing the student

As the college is situated in industrial area we send first year students for industrial orientation training for two hours/week in the second semester. the purpose of this orientation program is that students should get acquainted about the manufacturing process, different raw material required etc. After the orientation program a reports is submitted by group of students.

From this academic year HITA have started innovative program for training the students from higher class. This program is designed by carefully studying the requirements of the software, information technology and communication industry and accordingly the contents of program are decided. the purpose of this training program is to provide additional inputs to the students that will help them in acquiring a job and expert faculty from respective streams provides the training. this year the additional skills covered are Embedded system, C and C++ and VC++.

Considering the requirement of manpower in the area of software testing we are the only college in the University area who offered Software Testing as elective subject for the final year students of Computer Science and Information technology. These students have under gone a training program of 40 hours duration on Rational Rose with testing tools at the Department of Computer Science, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. We had also conducted a program of 8 days on "Campus to Corporate" wherein the students were guided for group discussion, personal interview, and other allied skills.

Continuous effort are taken for students by arranging different lectures and seminars by eminent personalities on various topics that is technical, social, educational.

College has its own placement cell, which actively helps to open up avenues in different companies for the employment of young aspiring engineering graduates.
