Bosnia and Herzegovina , located near the border withCroatia . The closest city isCazin , and a bit farther, the cities ofBihać andBosanski Novi . Across the border, it is not far fromCetingrad . Administratively, it is part of theUna-Sana Canton of theFederation of Bosnia and Herzegovina .The Velika Kladuša municipality also has many smaller towns and villages inside it such as Mala Kladuša, Todorovo, Podzvizd and many others. The town of Velika Kladuša is the center for the municipality because most hosiptals, stores and government buildings are located there.History
Before the
Bosnian War , the town was the headquarters ofAgrokomerc , one of biggest food companies in former Yugoslavia. The company started as a single food producing farm and grew to an estimated 13,000 employees at its peak of production. Today Agrokomerc still works but at a smaller capacity then before the war. During theBosnian War , the town was the capital of the self declaredAutonomous Province of Western Bosnia . Following the end of the Bosnian War, the town was the home of theCanadian Forces NATO camp supporting theIFOR andSFOR Peacemaking missions from1995 to2003 .Demographics
