Titchmarsh, Northamptonshire

Titchmarsh, Northamptonshire

Titchmarsh is a village forming part of the district of East Northamptonshire in the English county of Northamptonshire.

It is a very popular but small village which has two pubs, [http://www.charleswells.co.uk/home/pub-guide/pub/dog--partridge The Dog and Partridge] and [http://www.information-britain.co.uk/reviews.php?place=41843 The Wheatsheaf] but, until recently, no shop. A shop was officially opened on 21 September 2007 by none other than Alan Titchmarsh the TV personality. It has a primary school but children from the village travel to Oundle for secondary education.

As a boy John Dryden lived here and probably received his first education.
