- Halda River
Halda River is a river in South-Eastern
Bangladesh . It originates at the Badnatali Hill Ranges inRamgarh Upazila in theChittagong Hill Tracts , flows throughFatikchhari Upazila ,Hathazari Upazila ,Raozan Upazila andChittagong Kotwali Thana and falls into theKarnaphuli River . The 81 km long river has very turbulent tributary, theDhurung River , which joins Purba Dhalai about 48.25 km downstream. The river is navigable by big boats 29 km into it (up toNazirhat ) and by small boats 16-24 km further (up toNarayanhat ). Halda river also famous for pure Indian carps breding. This is only pure Indian carps breding field of Bangladesh may be also in South Asia.ource
