nationalcaps(goals) =Phil Hoadley (January 6, 1952) is an English footballer. After appearing in over 200 matches for Crystal Palace,(Leyton) Orient and Norwich City he retired from professional football in 1982 following a knee injury. His transfer from Orient to Norwich in 1978 is thought to have been the first move under freedom of contract legislation with a tribunal setting his value at £110,000. Remembered as a tough tackler with stacks of energy on the pitch, he has a firm place in the history of the game. Following his professional football career Phil enjoyed further careers in a variety of areas including sales before returning to Norwich City FC in the 1990's as a 'football in the community' officer. Today he enjoys a semi retired life with his family in Norfolk, also managing a public house on a part time basis and being an active part of his local community.
