Cossor AeroSpace

Cossor AeroSpace

Cossor AeroSpace is a British company held by Raytheon.

A fuller history of the original company can be found at Cossor

It built the radar infrastructure for BMEWS III in Fylingdales Moor, North Yorkshire, England. Cossor assumed that Raytheon would build the radar, and subsequently seriously underestimated the cost of the project. There was a dispute with Raytheon as to the financial ownership of the physical radar itself, which Cossor had to absorb, due to the wording of the contract that Raytheon would build the electronics and software, while Cossor would build the buildings and infrastructure.
