James Leslie Angle, Jr. (born
14 September 1946 inFort Worth ,Texas ) is an American television reporter.He has a Masters Degree from the University of Texas and served in the US Military in Germany and Vietnam.
Joining Fox News in 1996, Angle is a nightly contributor to the show
Special Report with Brit Hume . In addition, he regularly is a substitute host for the Friday edition of the program, givingBrit Hume a chance to appear onFox News Sunday as a panelist. Angle was named Chief Washington Correspondent forFox News Channel in 2005.Prior to joining Fox, he was a correspondent for
CNN as a political correspondent andABC News covering economics (receiving the “Excellence in Financial Journalism” award twice). He was Senior White House Correspondent forNational Public Radio during theReagan andGeorge H. W. Bush administrations. He was awarded the "Merriman Smith Memorial Award" in 2001 and 2003.
