John G. Jensen is a
sculptor . He has been chosen as the Georgia Art Education Association’s Youth Month Artist and was selected by the National Council for the Education of Ceramic Arts to represent the Southern United States in the their Emerging Talent Program. He has also received a sculptural fellowship from theNational Endowment for the Arts and was selected by the Latin American Cultural Foundation to exhibit in and travel to South America. Locally, he has been recognized as an Honored Artist by the Savannah Arts Commission and as one of the "Five Outstanding Artists to Collect" by the city of Savannah. He was commissioned by Armstrong to complete large-scale sculptural busts of five of its past presidents and by the city ofRichmond Hill, Georgia , to complete a life-sized sculpture of Henry Ford.Jensen is currently a professor of art at
Armstrong Atlantic State University .External links
