Eve of the Emperor Penguin is the 40th book in the Magic Tree House series written by Mary Pope Osborne and illustrated by Salvatore Murdocca. Mary Pope Osborne has been announcing this news for a long time, talking to kids at the 2003 and 2005 National Book Festival in Washington, D. C. about how she has been aching to hang out with penguins. It was officially announced on her blog, [http://www.marypopeosborne.net/?p=25 (Click here)] that she was working on a tree house adventure set in Antarctica, titled Eve of the Emperor Penguin.
It will release on September 23, 2008, and on that same day its Research Guide companion, PENGUINS AND ANTARCTICA, will release.
SUMMARY: Jack and Annie go to Antarctica. They try to look for a fourth and the last sercert of happiness . . . but Merlin is getting quite desprate now!But in Antarctica they find only penguins. . . . how will they ever find a sercert of happiness?
