John B. Kimble

John B. Kimble

John B. Kimble (born May 29, 1960) is an American behavioral scientist and a Republican candidate for Maryland's 6th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives elections in Maryland.

Kimble was born in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley and has maintained a residence in Maryland and the surrounding states for more than 30 years. He currently resides in Montgomery County, Maryland. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the National Rifle Association, the American Civil Liberties Union, the Defenders of Wildlife, the Sierra Club and the Southern Poverty Law Center where he is on the leadership council. Kimble is single and has no children at this time.

Kimble had been the Republican congressional nominee for Maryland's 4th congressional district in 1996, 1998, 2000, and 2002, but lost in those years' general elections to incumbent Albert Wynn. In the 2000 congressional election, Kimble made headlines when he had Wynn's wife as his campaign manager. Kimble did appear on the Daily Show with Nancy Walls concerning this fact on November 6, 2000. Kimble also sought the Republican nomination during the 2006 United States Senate election, but placed a distant second with 3% of the vote to the eventual nominee, Michael S. Steele.

Kimble is against providing social services and employment to illegal immigrants, and is in favor of deportation. He is also in favor of protecting American jobs from outsourcing, making English the official language of the United States, protecting the right to bear arms, supports federal concealed carry laws that prevent states from restricting the concealed carry of firearms, and increasing the taxes on oil companies.
