"I'm Looking for my Father" is an episode from the ninth season of the MTV series "True Life" that features three individuals in the United States looking for their long lost fathers.
Meghan, (Detroit, Michigan) 20, is a single mother looking for her father, but doesn't even knows his name. She believes the only way to do so is by first contacting her mother. She fails to find either of her biological parents but reconnects with a lot of her past and learns to be the parent to her son that she never had.
Craig, (Sheboygan, Wisconsin) 20, hasn't seen his father since he was 3 years old, when his father moved to Texas. Craig's mom and sister are unsupportive in Craig's attempt to reunite with his father. After exercising on the beach and talking to some ducks, Craig calls his uncle to get some information. As soon as Craig arrives at his uncles, he asks Craig if he wants to go meet his father. It turns out that Craig's father has moved back to Wisconsin from Texas the week before. Craig reunites with his father and maintains a great relationship with his mother. He loses contact with his father after speaking with him two months after calling him from college
Jaimie, (San Antonio, Texas) 19, lives with her all-white family but is bi-racial and looking for her black father. She ends up being quite disappointed when she learns her biological father had passed away but is happy to meet her brother and aunt.
