The antenna array is located 3 miles north of the Iowa and Missouri border, near the town of
Coin, Iowa . The system uses four convert|83.1|m|ft|abbr=on|0 towers arranged in adirectional array . During daytime hours, three of the towers are used with the transmitter operating at 5,000 watts. At nighttime, all four towers are used when the transmitter power is reduced to 2,500 watts.
