Sevagram

Sevagram is Hindi for "A village for service" and the name of a village in the state of Maharashtra, India. This was the place of Mohandas Gandhi's (Gandhiji) ashram.

Now this tiny town is the base for a medical school and an engineering college.

The Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences operates in Sevagram and so does the Abdul Football Academy.

Abdul Football Academy

This is the one and only Football Academy in Vidarbha and is well known for producing the best players in the state. The AFA has given rise to many young talents like Shrikant Chilvant, Saurabh Verma, Pradeep Upadhyay, Abhinav Shukla and Suraj Ghale.

In A.E. van Vogt's novel "The Weapon Makers" (1952) this word ends a story in a deliberately inscrutable phrase; specifically, an extraterrestrial says of the human race, "This is the race which will rule the sevagram."
