Roger Douglas Groot (1942-2005) was the Class of 1975 Alumni Professor of Law at
Washington and Lee University School of Law inLexington, Virginia , where he had taught since 1973. Professor Groot was a member of
Phi Beta Kappa ,Order of the Coif , a member of the Board of Governors of theVirginia Bar Association , and a Fellow, Virginia Law Foundation. He died at the age of 63 on November 12, 2005.
