Violent Acres is a personal website, or blog, written by an anonymous author. It was started in October of 2006. The author refers to her or himself as 'V'. She refers to herself as a woman, although there has been much speculation as to whether or not she may actually be a man. The author has also stated publicly that she has no intentions of ever revealing her identity. According to the website, the author is a married woman in her 30s. She also has stepchildren. V, the author, claims that she was once in several thousand dollars of consumer debt, [cite web

Violent Acres has also posted many personal stories with anecdotes and horror stories about the author's mother, childhood relationships, and a teenage marriage and divorce.

Violent Acres has enjoyed much success and a rapid increase in traffic due to such controversial posts. The website currently generates revenue through Text Link Ads and other advertising services.
