Peter de Jersey

Peter de Jersey is a television and theatre actor. Perhaps best known for his longtime recurring role as Jerome Taylor in The Bill, he has acted in numerous British programmes. From 2000-2003 he played Steve Waring in Holby City until the character was involved in a car crash and later died in hospital. Other television appearances include Doctors, New Tricks and Dalziel and Pascoe. The New Tricks episode in which he acted in, "Father's Pride", also starred fellow Holby City actor Jeremy Sheffield.

He has appeared with the Royal Shakespeare Company, where his parts include Orlando to Samantha Bond's Rosalind and Horatio to David Tennant's Hamlet. Having performed with the National Theatre, de Jersey was praised highly for his portrayal of Antiochus in Believe In What You Will. He also acted in Rough Crossings, the theatre adaptation by Caryl Phillips from Simon Schama's book.

His most recent work involves a supporting role in the 2008 film The Bank Job where he portrayed Michael X.
