Ambrose Park, New South Wales

Ambrose Park, New South Wales

is 2541.

The suburb was established as a new subdivision in the early 1990s, taking in an area to the south of a reserve called Ambrose Park. It is from this park that the suburb takes its name, although the park itself is technically located in South Nowra. According to a plaque in the reserve, the name Ambrose is taken from that of the Catholic saint.

Ambrose Park is considered one of Nowra's more desirable suburbs, being reasonably close to the town centre but away from the noisy Princes Highway, the town's major thoroughfare.
