The shell is rather large compared to that of other snails. Only the tip of the spire is concave, and the rest of the whorls are slightly convex. The periphery is subangled. The spiral sculpture is finer and beaded cords are more numerous than in other subspecies, apart from "
Calliostoma pellucidum morioria ". The spiral cords are regularly dotted in light brown, but larger maculations are faint.The shell height is up to 51 mm, and the width is up to 53 mm.
