Tümen Jasagtu Khan

Tümen Jasagtu Khan

Tumen Jasagtu Khan was a 16th century khan of Mongolia who reigned from 1557 to 1592. He was the successor of Darayisung Gödeng Khan and had direct rule over the Chahar. It was during his rule that Mongols conquered Daur and Evenks.

He made reforms on tax law and freed mongol nobles from some kinds of taxes. That is why, his subjects gave him a name of "Tumen zasagtu" (Ten thousand law maker).
