airline based in Launceston,Australia . It operates a fleet of light aircraft on services between Launceston inTasmania ,Flinders Island andEssendon Airport inMelbourne in Victoria on the Australian mainland. In the 1970s, the company had regular services to the West Coast utilising the Queenstown andStrahan Airport s. The Par-Avion name was established in 1984 and provides wilderness tours and scenic flights in the smaller aircraft in the fleet. In the 2004-2005 year there was a service between Hobart andStrahan , but this service was closed due to marginal profits. Early in 2008 the airline moved its Melbourne operations fromMoorabbin Airport toEssendon Airport , flights to Melbourne are now regularly operated by theDornier 228 .Destinations
