Henry Barakat

Henry Barakat

Henry Barakat (1912 – 1997) was one of the foremost film directors in Egypt. For decades, he directed some of the most famous actors, singers and dancers of the Arab world.

In the 1955 hit "Ayyam wa layali (Days and Nights)", he directed belly-dancer Zeinat Olwi in one of her most memorable performances.
