The following is a list of past and present Chairmen of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. The current Chairman of the Federal Reserve is Ben Bernanke. There have been a total of 14 Chairmen of the Federal Reserve as of 2007. The Chairman is one of seven members of the Board of Governors [cite web| title = FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF ATLANTA| publisher = The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis| url = http://www.stlouisfed.org/about/fed_presidents.html| accessdate = 2007-12-08 ] of the Federal Reserve System, and is appointed by the President of the United States.
