Kakanj mine disaster

The Kakanj mine disaster was a mining accident at a coal mine in Kakanj, Bosnia and Herzegovina which happened on June 7, 1965.

Background

A methane gas explosion at the Orasi mine shaft of the Kakanj mine casused a cave in which killed 128 miners. There were no survivors.
