Ansal Institute of Technology

Ansal Institute of Technology (AIT) is a private college situated in the city of Gurgaon, Haryana, India. AIT is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IP University), and was established in the year 2000 under the "Chiranjiv Charitable Trust".

History

The engineering college was established by The Ansal's Group. Various engineering degree courses are offered in the field of Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Electronics, and Biotechnology. The College is directly affiliated with the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. Lately, Ansal Institute of Technology has been recognized by University Grants Commission. [Section 2(f), UGC Act 1956 vide letter no. F8-35/2006 (CPP- I), reference: dated 11th May, 2006. Location

Ansal Institute of Technology is located in the foothills of Aravallis and is situated near major MNCs and Malls in Gurgaon. It is situated in Sector-55 of Gurgaon close to Faridabad border in specific. The college offers various services for students commuting from National Capital Territory (N.C.T) of India.

Campus

There are grounds for soccer, volleyball, cricket, and a basketball court on the campus. Provisions for indoor games like carrom and table tennis are also available. The campus has lush greenery throughout the year. The college buildings are spruced up by placing various potted plants.

The classrooms are roomy and well ventilated. There is ample natural light pouring in courtesy of the large windows. The labs are modern and well equipped. Elements of contemporary design can be seen everywhere.

In the year 2006, the new wing in the College called the Center of Excellence was inaugurated. This new "Wing" now provides Students to gain valuable industrial Experience and offers tie-ups with Multinational Companies.

Education Loans and Students Saving Account with minimum balance of Rs 10 is available in the bank facility inside the Institute's campus.

"Criteria for admission" are assessed on the basis of the following:

1. Overall Candidate's Academic Profile.
2. Performance/Score in a test like AIEEE or any Other Entrance Exam or AIT's Aptitude Test.
3. Personal Interview.

Festivals

The annual cultural festival called the "Manthan" is celebrated during the period starting from February. In 2007, AIT also celebrated its first Alumni Reunion.
