Ted Tevan

Ted Tevan (born c. 1937)cite news | publisher="Vancouver Sun" | date=15 October 2004 | page=B2 | first=Mike | last=Beamish | title=King of late-night airwaves ] is a Canadian sports radio broadcaster.

Originally from Kingston, Ontario, Tevan moved to Montreal in 1965 initially working in radio advertising. His career remained based in that city except for a short-lived sports talk show on the Toronto-based CKO in early 1989, and from then until 1991 at CKWW in Windsor, Ontario.cite news | publisher="Windsor Star" | title=SHOW BITS: CKWW and Tevan split | date=7 June 1991 | page=C2 ]

His first radio program was "Sports Rap" on Montreal's 1470 CFOX radio station, considered a key pioneering effort towards the development of sports radio in Canada.

Outside his broadcasting career, Tevan served as a defence witness in 2001 during the incest trial of boxing champion Dave Hilton, Jr..
