Sgoil Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu or Glasgow Gaelic School is a
school inGlasgow which teaches through the medium ofScottish Gaelic , commonly known asGaelic medium education . The school has no catchment area as it serves the Gaelic Community through South-westScotland , taking in pupils fromKilmarnock ,East Kilbride andCumbernauld .The current role of Sgoil Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu is around 700, despite almost 1,000 children wanting access to the school. This has prompted the council to consider building another.
The school currently has a capicity of 800 pupils. By 2012,

The first Gaelic School opened in 1999, as a primary school only: Bunsgoil Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu (Glasgow Gaelic Primary School). As the school roll grew it became necessary to relocate to larger premises.
