Amrapali Institute is promoted by the Modern Academy Society, Modinagar. Appreciating the difficulties faced by the youth of the area and also due to the paucity of suitable professional institutes, the Management decided to set up Amrapali Institute at Haldwani, the gateway to the Kumaun region. The aim of the Institute is to provide and promote Graduate and Post Graduate level quality professional education for the needy new generation and future executives. Amrapali Institute is already attracting future executives from all over the country and from diverse strata of society, creating a vibrant composite community in the campus. Within a short span of 5 years it has carved out a distinct niche for itself in the academic and intellectual life in Uttaranchal and the places around. The Institute has separate hostels for boys and girls. Amrapali Institute is affiliated to "Kumaun University, Nainital". Kumaun University awards degrees for all the courses run by the Institute.

MBA, MCA & BHMCT programmes are duly approved by "All India Council for Technical Education" (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Government of India, New Delhi. Master in Library & Information Science., BBA, BCA, and Bachelor of Library & Information Science programmes are approved by Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttaranchal and are run as per University directives. B.Ed. programme is approved by National Council for Teacher Education, Jaipur.The Campus of the Institute is spread over an area of 19 Acres of land with an impressive building which is located at Lamachaur, 12 km away from Haldwani on Haldwani - Ramnagar Road. The Campus site is named 'Shiksha Nagar' and consists of all Departments & Administrative Buildings like Library, Computer Centre, Hostel and Play fields etc. Route chart may be of great help for those wanting to visit the institute for the first time.
