The Wrestling Fiasco

The Wrestling Fiasco

The Wrestling Fiasco (TWF) is a Professional Wrestling & Mixed martial arts podcast show hosted by Ben, Mike and Alli.

Regular guests/contributors include North East indy wrestling stars; Don Montoya and Reckless Youth (also wrestling under Tom Carter).

The Past of TWF

The Wrestling Fiasco was the second wrestling program to air on WBZC operating out of Burlington County College, the original being Rasslin' Radio, which concluded just before one of wrestling's biggest changes in several decades, the collapse of WCW and ECW. With this change left only WWE and a growing independent scene, which became a major focus for TWF.

Originally aired on 88.9FM WBZC in Pemberton, New Jersey, from May 2001 to late 2003 with various formats, with its original hosts, Ben and Mike, and in the last incarnation, just Mike. In its previous incarnation, guests have included; Mick Foley, Blue Meanie, Road Warrior Hawk, Mike Quackenbush, Steve Corino, Colt Cabana, and many others.

The Wrestling Fiasco was unexpectedly pulled from WBZC's format in October 2003. And after several times trying to regenerate it, Mike ultimately shut it down. [On a personal note... [http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/lofiversion/index.php?t46779.html] ] >

TWF Begins Again

After an over 4 year hiatus, The Wrestling Fiasco The Wrestling Fiasco has added to its format, previously only a pro-wrestling show concentrating heavily on the independent wrestling scene of Philadelphia, New Jersey, and the surrounding areas, the show is going through some changes. Today TWF's goal is to deliver news and opinions on the top wrestling news and events from across the country, possibly the globe, covering all the events from the World Wrestling Entertainment, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and other major developments.

New to TWF is the coverage of mixed martial arts. The cross over between pro-wrestling and MMA is almost matched. Pro wrestlers such as Brock Lesnar [International superstar Brock Lesnar has already achieved high grades for his transition from pro wrestling to mixed martial arts. Covering the Ultimate Fighting Championship, World Extreme Cagefighting, Elite Xtreme Combat, and many many others.

The Wrestling Fiasco is no longer on conventional radio, but instead will be found online through podcasts, interviews available through Myspace, and through an official website soon to come. This will allow for very little interference from program directors, FCC, and other outside influences that may hinder the ability to bring listeners a quality product.
