Deepak Acharya

Deepak Acharya (born April 30, 1975) is an Indian microbiologist and botanist from Chhindwara.[1][2] His work has involved the documentation of indigenous knowledge of Gond and Bharia tribes of the Patalkot Forest in Madhya Pradesh. He has written a book entitled "Indigenous Herbal Medicines: Tribal Formulations and Traditional Herbal Practices" which has been appreciated world over. He has been featured on covers of The Wall Street Journal Weekend Edition, 12th May 2006.
