English language magazine onMiddle East ern andNorth Africa ncurrent affairs , established in 2007.It focusses on a broad range of subject areas within the
Arab world , from alternative viewpoints. Articles are serious and authoritative and aimed at readers with at least some familiarity with the region.Its primary focus is
politics and social affairs, but it also coversculture andbusiness . Although it is concerned withMuslim -majority countries, it is not a Muslim magazine i.e. it does not publish articles from anIslamic perspective. TheArab covers religious issues in the region from a secular angle. It is currently circulated to 4,000 readers through a mixture ofsubscriptions andcontrolled-circulation .Although not Arab countries,
Iran andTurkey are covered, as they form part of thegreater Middle East .The Arab is owned by an independent British publishing house of the same name, based in
London . It markets itself, however, as aninternational magazine on pan-Arab affairs.References
