Una is a river flowing through
Croatia and the western part ofBosnia and Herzegovina ; in its middle and lower course it is a border between the two countries. Una is a right tributary of theSava river. Its river basin has an area of is 10,400 km² and it is inhabited by around a million people.Una springs from the northeastern slopes of the Stražbenica mountain in
Croatia , and flows through: Martin Brod, Kulen Vakuf, Ripac, Bihać,Bosanska Krupa , Bosanska Otoka,Bosanski Novi (Bosanski Novi),Kostajnica , andDubica . It flows into theSava River nearJasenovac . The main tributaries are theUnac , Sana, Klokot and Krušnica rivers.Over 170 types of medicinal herbs grow by the Una River; a rare plant called "
