The Toshiba HD-A3 is Toshiba Corporation's third generation
HD DVD player. It was introduced in November 2007 to replace the HD-A2. Although the "Format War" between HD DVD and its opposing HD formatBlu-ray Disc is over, Toshiba will continue to market its remaining HD DVD hardware. The players will continue to be sold until the last have been shipped. The HD-A3 can play HD DVD discs and can play and upscale standard DVD discs.pecifications
All HD-A3 units can be upgraded in the home, using either a 10/100 Ethernet-based internet connection, or a factory-supplied upgrade CD-ROM. The A3 plays HD DVDs and standard DVDs right from the box, and can upscale standard DVDs to 720p/1080i resolutions.
